In “The Revealing Word” Charles Fillmore tells us that the resurrection represents “the restoring of mind and body to their original underlying state,” (2017 Edition, p. 43. Unity Village, MO: Unity Books). He goes on to tell us that it takes place every time we realize the perpetual indwelling life that is connecting us with God.
We must realize that God is Spirit and created man with the same powers that God has. In short, we possess the ability to create with our minds!
On the evening in which he was betrayed, Jesus went up to Gethsemane to pray. In that prayer he ask God to lift the cup he was about to bare, but then concluded that God’s will be done. Thus Gethsemane represents the struggle that goes on inside us when we realize that Tis one with reality. Just as Jesus did that night, Our old self struggles against t-our sacrifice of everything for God.
We have error thoughts deeply rooted within our subconscious mind. They, as Fillmore notes in his “Keeping a True Lent,” (p. 147, Kindle Edition, 2017) “come forward to crucify the new unknown power, the so-called imposter, the indwelling Christ.”
Jesus’ crucifixion on the cross was a final step. When he arose on that first Easter , he was entirely free from the carnal or Adam mind.
The word crucifixion means the crossing out in our consciousness the error thoughts that have taken up residence in our minds. We do this so the Christ-Mind may be expressed in all its glory and fullness.
The hill Calgary represents our Adam mind that dwells in carnality The crucifixion is the final battle with error thought.
The three days in the tomb represent the way to overcome errort hought. These are first, nonresistance, second, is the receiving of th will of God, and finally the assimilation and fulfillment of the Divine Will,
Nonresistance is not fighting with the error thought process, but simply denying it. That denial leaves a vacuum into which the will of God resurfaces (It was always in us, we just didn’t recognize it), and then we must assimilate or make it part of our consciousness.
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. “It’s inner meaning and spiritual significance is the awakening and raising to spiritual consciousness of the I AM in man, which has been dead in trespass and sin, and buried in the tomb of nateriality.”(Charles Fiollmore, “Keep A True Lent.”, page 150).
Jesus told us “I came that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” John 10:10. There are several Bible translations that I particularly like for the way they interpret this verses last few words. These are:
The New International version: “I have come that they may have a life and have it to the fullest.”
The Aramaic Bible in Plain English. “I have ome that they may have life and what ever is abundant.”
And The New Living Bible version: “My purpose is to give a rich and satisfying life.
(the above translations were accessed April 10, 2017 at www.biblehub.com).
All of these denote that Jesus, as the Christ, willed us to have an abundant life, not to lack. It’s up to us to claim that abundance that is already ours.
Every time we rise to the realization of eternal indwelling life, making contact with the Christ-Mind, the resurrection of Jesus takes place in us. We leave our error thoughts and our belief in the material on the cross.
Fillmore tells us “Jesus was bonr into the race thought so that He might reconnect in conformity with the Divine Law. He thus became our Way-Shower, our Help.” (Lent, p. 152)

“Today the light of Truth is illuminating my mind, and I rise up in the majesty of my Divine Sonship and proclaim myself to be the Child of the Most High, free from all belief in sin, sickness, and death. I affirm in Unity with the Christ. I realize that I am resurrected into the life, light, and power of God.”
