Immediate answer to Positive Prayer and Emotional Freedom Technique

Positive Prayer Works

I noted yesterday that my son had been admitted to the hospital for GI bleeding. Right after hearing the news, I went into the Silence and offered up a positive prayer that they would find the cause of the bleeding and immediately it would be corrected. Then I made my gratefulness known to my Christ. Not long after that notice, we received a message that they had found ulcers and had cauterized them. It was nothing more serious, and he’s likely to come home today if his hematocrit comes up to an acceptable level. When I left him this noon time, it was almost back to normal! Positive prayer works!

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE OR TAPPING

This issue is an adaption of Emotional Freedom Technique or Tapping. (EMT). EMT is a combination of ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology, AND Unity positive prayer (in my opinion). It uses some of the positive affirmations and denial. It claims to be a remedy for many problems and physical conditions. I neither endorse or condemn the technique, and offer it only for those who might have problems clearing error thoughts.

All of our lives, until we found Unity, we believed the collective conscious in telling ourselves that it takes time to “fix” or “change” a problem it if can be fixed at all.

Freud thought that repressed and suppressed memories and feelings, or traumatic events cause neurosis. That eludes to Error Thought.

You have most likely said to yourself, “I can’t belief I did that AGAIN,” “ Why did I fall off my diet, or sobriety, AGAIN,” “Why am I short on money, AGAIN”! You also usually affix some expletives too.

To make matters worse, on top of your negative self-talk, is the fact that you are trying to change that situation. Sometimes we are completely unaware of that negative self-talk.

It’s time to change those patterns. It is tome to be healthy and have abundance.

EMT was developed by Dr. Roger Callahan to help a client who had a phobia to water, and would get violently ill at the sight of it. She had nightmares and a “horrible feeling in the pit of her stomach.”

Dr. Callahan began studying the mi\iridian end points of the Chinese Acupuncture. He produced a set of procedures or sequences of tapping on those points to address different issues. He began by tapping on her abdomen, and found that she was freed from her phobia of water, and became totally asymptomatic.

Quick Start Guide

  1. Choose your “Most Pressing Issue(MPI) and devise a statement or reminder phrase.
  2. Rate the MPI’s severity or disruption of your life on a scale of 1 to 10’
  3. Craft a setup statement.
  4. Tap on the outside edge of your had in the area that you would use to deliver a karate chop with, repeating the setup statement three times.
  5. Tap throughout the eight meridians ending points that Dr. Callahan identified, while repeating your reminder phrase out loud, five to seven times.
  6. Take a deep breath.
  7. Again rate the intensity of your MPI.
  8. Repeat the process as needed to eliminate the condition.

Making up your setup statement

The basic setup statement goes like this: “Even though (your EMI} exists, I truly and thoroughly accept myself. For example, “Even though my lower back is in pain, I completely and thoroughly accept myself.” Or, in the case of an emotion such as anger at your boss, you might say: “Even though I am angry at my boss for claiming my work as his own, I thoroughly and completely accept myself.” Now, try to make up your own setup statement. Make it as specific as you possibly can.

Crafting the reminder prhase

This phrase is used to remind you of your EPI. Just a few words or a short phrase or sentence is sufficient. For instance, in the case of anger above, your reminder statement would be something like this: “This anger.” It is spoken out loud as you tap seven or eight times on each of the eight meridians ending points. You tap with a couple of fingers at each of the eight pings.

Tapping through the Points

  1. Just above the eyebrows
  2. Side of the eye
  3. Under the eye
  4. Under the nose
  5. Chin
  6. Collarbone
  7. Under the arm
  8. Top of the head,
