Who Are You

Weekly Newsletter

Each of us play several roles during our life. Fisrt is that of the victim. The victim sees the world as being against them. Everyone is out to get them. The control of their life is outside them. Everyone elsed has some kind of control against them. God is seen as some kind of being sitting in heaven pulling the strings of everyone’s life.

Then there is the victor role. The victor sees him or herself as the vanquisher. They are out to conquer the world, and on their terms. They have great victories, but they do not last long. They are always looking for new conquests.

Then there is the vessel. The vessel is conscious of more within. They are aware of their connection to the God-Mind, but may not know it as such. They just know there is something greater than themselves, and they are here for a mission. They have a task to accomplish for humankind.

Finally, there is the verity. They know a oneness with the Christ within.

Often, we vacillate between these. The stronger our connection with the Christ within, the less often we see ourselves as the victim. We spend most of our time between the victor and the vessel. The more we enter the silence, and experience the verity mode, the less often we swing back to the victor role.

There is an adage that “No one is perfect.” The wonderful thing is we don’t have to be! We truly are spiritual beings having a human experience. As enlightened as Jesus was, he cried out “Why has thou forsaken me.” In the garden, he asked that the cup be taken from him. Yes, even Jesus was human while embodying the Christ!

We were made in the image and likeness of God, God-Mind, Christ. That seed of Christ lies dormant within us until we begin to become enlightened. It is a long process, and requires many steps to accomplish. That seed is the Word. John 1;1 tells us, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was made man and dwelled among us.

So, when we go about “seeking the kingdom of heaven” we are seeking that seed. All of our 12 powers stem from that Word. Think about this a moment.

We must invoke a power to use it. When we envoke the power, we must think about the power. Thoughts are words. Science has shown us that when we think in words, the muscles in our throat move microscopically just as if we were speaking.

This seed is the Perfect Word of God-Mind. It is of God, and it is God or Divine Mind, the I AM.

We go through two stages in our quest for who we really are: Involution and Evolution.

Involution is turning inwards to seek the truth of ourselves through prayer and meditation.

Evolution is our becoming. We are becoming a cognizant part of the I AM, the Oneness. Various religions have described this state: Nirvana, Heaven, Ecstasy, or The Christ.

We must establish our I AM identity with the Divine Mind and stop empowering as well as arguing with our personalities, or Egos, which are the limitations and separation, masks hiding our true identity.

Know they self! Know who you are, and what you are, where you come from. The key to this self-knowledge is the awareness that True Knowledge comes from within. As Erick Butterworth often put it,
“God is not out there, God is inside you.

We need to observe our thoughts and feelings. No thought or feeling is bad. They just are. It is what we do with them that is important.

If you have a thought of worthlessness, stop and examine that feeling. Where did it come from? Who made you feel that way. Then, deny it’s power over you, and affirm the truth of who you are!

Each day you may experience challenges. It is only by taking control of your life through a firm belief of the Christ within them.

God, God-Mind, Christ are all terms that we use interchangeably. They refer to spirit. God is not outside us. The God-Mind is within us.

Operates as principle. Principle that is creative and only good and love. It operates according to the laws it has set in motion at the moment of the “big bang.” That is a misnomer to me, it was more like an enlightenment. Everything came into existence at that instance. All that was to be, all that is, and all that will be exists as a thought in that God-Mind.

Since it exists within us, then it stands to reason that Awe too have that same creative power. So, create the life you want. Keep only positive, loving thoughts in your mind.
